About Rush Fitness
Rush Fitness was a fitness club chain that served the southeastern U.S., with 23 locations based in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company, led by President and CEO David Carney, was headquartered in Knoxville, TN, and offered a wide range of amenities to members.
In 2014, Rush Fitness was acquired by Gold’s Gym, one of the world’s most iconic fitness franchises. Joe Gold founded Gold’s Gym in 1965 in Venice Beach, California. The brand is now owned by TRT Holdings and operated from its central headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
The transition transformed each Rush Fitness location into a modern Gold’s Gym. With a focus on inclusivity, these gyms are open to people of all fitness levels from those just beginning to lifelong fitness enthusiasts.
The facilities feature the latest cardio and strength-training equipment. Members enjoy access to resistance machines, free weights, steam and sauna rooms, a basketball court, and a Cardio Cinema. There’s also a Mind & Body Studio and a dedicated area for women.
Group exercise is a major highlight, with classes such as Yoga, Group Cycle, and Bootcamp. The Kids Club makes it easier for parents to attend sessions, and personal trainers are available for one-on-one instruction.
Membership rates vary by gym and membership type. If you no longer need your membership, don’t worry we’ve created a guide to help you cancel with confidence. Just continue reading for full instructions.
